These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the TradeRoom progressive web app and related services (the “Service”) operated by [OPERATOR_LEGAL_NAME] (“we,” “us,” or “TradeRoom”).

By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The Service

TradeRoom provides tools to:

• Look up Gundam Card Game (MVP) cards by collector number and view reference prices/images
• Build two-sided trade lists, including optional cash offsets recorded as part of a trade
• Create or join trade rooms and confirm trades
• Store a history of confirmed trades on your account

TradeRoom is a coordination and record-keeping tool only. We do not:

• Buy, sell, or take custody of cards
• Process payments or hold funds in escrow
• Guarantee that displayed prices reflect what you can buy or sell for
• Guarantee that another user will complete a physical trade
• Resolve disputes between traders beyond optional in-app notes/status

Any cash amount entered in the Service is a user-recorded offset, not a payment instruction to TradeRoom.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the age of digital consent in your jurisdiction) and able to form a binding contract. If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.

3. Accounts

• You must provide accurate account information and keep credentials secure.
• You are responsible for activity under your account.
• We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or create risk for the Service or other users.
• MVP authentication is provided via Firebase Authentication (email/password and/or Google sign-in).

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for fraud, harassment, or illegal activity
• Attempt to access other users’ rooms or data without authorization
• Scrape, overload, or reverse engineer the Service except as allowed by law
• Misrepresent cards, quantities, or cash terms in a way intended to deceive
• Upload unlawful, infringing, or abusive content in notes or profile fields
• Circumvent rate limits, security controls, or room access rules
• Use catalog/pricing data from the Service in violation of third-party terms (including TCGplayer / TCGCSV policies)

We may remove content, close rooms, or suspend access when we reasonably believe these rules were violated.

5. Trade rooms and history

• Room codes grant access to participants who successfully join under our rules. Treat codes like secrets.
• In local (one-phone) mode, a single account may confirm a trade covering both seats; history will reflect a local confirmation.
• In multi-device rooms, both participants must accept before a trade is finalized (unless we clearly offer another flow later).
• Confirmed trades write an immutable snapshot to participants’ history. Prices in history are frozen at confirmation time and may differ from later market data.
• You are solely responsible for verifying physical cards, condition, authenticity, and any cash exchanged offline.

6. Pricing, catalog, and third-party materials

Card names, images, and prices shown in TradeRoom are reference data derived from third-party sources (see ATTRIBUTION.md), currently including TCGplayer-oriented data via TCGCSV.

You acknowledge that:

• Prices may be delayed, incomplete, or wrong
• “High” prices especially may be distorted by marketplace behavior
• TradeRoom does not guarantee fairness or profitability of any trade
• Third-party sites and CDNs may be unavailable

TradeRoom is not endorsed by or affiliated with TCGplayer, Bandai Namco, or TCGCSV.

7. Intellectual property

• The Service’s software, branding, and original content are owned by us or our licensors.
• Card names, artwork, and trademarks belong to their respective owners (including Bandai and other rights holders).
• You retain rights to content you submit (for example, notes), and grant us a limited license to host and display that content as needed to operate the Service.

8. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT PRICES, IMAGES, OR TRADE RECORDS WILL BE ACCURATE, COMPLETE, OR ERROR-FREE.

9. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE AND OUR SUPPLIERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE OR ANY TRADE BETWEEN USERS.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US TO USE THE SERVICE IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM (IF ANY) OR (B) USD $50.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted.

10. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims arising out of your misuse of the Service, your trades with other users, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights or marketplace terms.

11. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access immediately for violations or risk. Provisions that by their nature should survive (including IP, disclaimers, liability limits, indemnity) will survive termination.

12. Changes to the Service or Terms

We may modify the Service or these Terms. Material changes will be indicated by updating the “Last updated” date and, when appropriate, additional notice. Continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of [OPERATOR_JURISDICTION] , excluding conflict-of-law rules. Courts in [OPERATOR_VENUE] will have exclusive jurisdiction, except where prohibited by law.
